Closet Audio Productions is moving!!

Hi All

Once again a very busy time for us as the end of 09 draws nigh!! Its been a great year and we've had the chance to work with some amazing artists and produce some great music.


Closet Audio Productions will be moving to new premises as of mid January 2010 which we are really excited about!!!
The new suite will feature a purpose designed recording booth to allow vocalists and instrumentalists to record their music on site and we are also securing access to a number of larger spaces that we can access for larger band projects in addition to those that we have already been using this year.
Also featured will be a one on one training space where you will be able to access high quality training in Pro Tools and Garage Band by a trainer with many years of one on one and classroom teaching experience.
Also recently released are our training and basic demo recording brochures which are available for your perusal in the photos section of this page and soon to follow, the long awaited but brilliant Closet Audio Productions website will be following January 2010!!

Pro Tools HD8 Operator Certificatiion

Colin has succesfully completed his certification to become a Pro Tools HD8 Operator (Music)
He is now available to teach Pro Tools on a private or small group basis. Please get in touch with him at contact@closetaudioproductions.com for more details.

Youth Recording Demos

Closet Audio Productions has recently released a range of demo recording packages targeted at young bands doing their first recordings. Our youth recording specialist Daine has extensive experience in both live and studio sound and has worked with bands such as One Tiger Down and also engineered at major rock festivals. Update

Since we last graced this blog with an entry, there's been A LOT going on at Closet Audio Productions -
- finished our 2nd album project in conjunction with acclaimed arranger Brett Mabury
and featuring a cameo appearance by Emma Sophina - ;-)
- arranged strings and charts for a number of projects over in Melbourne through Boomtown Records.
- finished a number of demos for local indie artists.
- we have undergone a serious staff and gear upgrade - new plugins including focusrite forte suite, t-racks3 mixing and mastering plugins, new outboard gear and a beastly new computer to make sure that we never run out of processing power!! (that's a big call - well not for a good long while at least!!)
- Colin is heading off to Melbourne in October to study for the Pro Tools Operator Accreditation closely followed by the certified trainer qualification - Also has a pending application to become an Apple certified trainer in the pipeline.
Pro Tools and Music Production tuition is available usually $75/hr but contact us with "myspace special - Pro Tools lessons" in the title line and we'll give you a special rate of $60/hr.
- we now have 2 mobile setups and engineers available to do mobile recording for you including 1 live recording specialist that can record concerts and gigs so that you can get your music out there.
- we've been so busy making music that we have hardly had time to get our website finished but that WILL be happening soon.

Ableton, Pro Tools, Reason startup lessons

Closet Audio Productions has officially expanded its teaching roster and scope with Calvin and Geoff now being available to teach Ableton, Reason and Pro Tools. Calvin is currently a lecturer in electronic music at Mount Pleasant Baptist Community College where he is teaching these programs as part of VET sector training courses that are run there.
If you've just started out in the world of electronic music and want some tuition to help get you started the staff at Closet will come to you and help you to get started with exactly the technical skills that you need in order to serve the musical goals that you are working to achieve.
Colin also is offering tuition specialising in Pro Tools and is now a certified Pro Tools HD8 Operator.
The staff at Closet Audio Productions can also help for people who have bought some gear but want some help either installing it or optimising it to work on their system.
